Where are The Lost Lambs: Lessons from Samson’s Mother — 11 Comments

  1. What a beautiful and hopeful post, Maryleigh. I depend a lot of Philippians 1:6: “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”

    • In Samson’s time there was no evangelism, no one to save the lost. So thankful that Jesus came and taught us how to do that!

    • It is so hard – it’s hard waiting. It’s hard praying selflessly – not results that make my life easier. I am so thankful for these lost lambs who God favored and pursued – they are such encouragement to me, to wait, to pray, to press in to God and trust Him! He’s got our loved ones, Lauren. What stories he is writing with them! {{{HUGS}}} and prayers, Lauren! ~ Maryleigh

  2. Great post Maryleigh!
Yes, living this presently but have had an amazing answer to prayer, you may find encouraging, just recently shared in ‘Alone in the wilderness?’
    Bless you,
    Jennifer

    • Oh, Jennifer, I love hearing The Salvation Stories! I loved the one you shared! There are so many lost lambs – some who belong to us through birth – and those who belong to God and need people to be His hands and feet to save them! Let us find a way to save them, too! ~ Maryleigh

  3. A post that encompasses sisters, parents, friends, and those precious children you write about. I lift prayers to our God for my sisters and friends. My mother did come to the Lord before she died. I am grateful for God Who hears our prayers. Thank you for this beautiful post.

    • I am so grateful that God not only hears our prayers but He has the saving plot line to redeem all those we love! Praying that communities start searching for those that once sat in their pews. Rejoicing in your mother’s salvation! Praying Shalom and fullness in this season that has so many hardships for you! ~ Maryleigh

  4. Maryleigh, amen. I’m thinking of some of my very favorite people whose eyes would quickly fill as they read this beautiful piece. HOw wrenching for a parent to have to walk through this difficult season.

    He is able …

    • We should feel every lamb is our lost lamb – not just my own lambs, but my neighbors. Praying God not just break my heart for all the lost lambs in our communities, but to open doors and show us how to reach them! Shalom, Linda – and much blessing in this holy season! ~ Maryleigh
