One of the boys asked for banana pudding; Banana pudding was the answer. The direct simplicity of James 4:2b shows God’s availability- always! “Ask,” He says so matter-of-factly, that He wants our asking of Him to be our first thought, not our last. The answer might not always look like the banana pudding we asked for, but it is always the most fulfilling. . . even if is a not now. . . or a not yet.
