Living in The Wait — 11 Comments

  1. Amen! A good word, Mary Leigh, for those of us concerned for our country and also seeing their loved ones facing health crises. God is good – even when we have to wait.

    • Jerralea, I am so glad God has got the All is Well (2 Kings 4:26) plan! Thanks so much for joining in Remembering God today with me!

  2. Some people in the Bible had such long waits–Abraham and Sarah waited 25 years for their promised son, Joseph waited in slavery and then prison in Egypt for years, the children os Israel were slaves in Egypt for 400 years, in exile for 70 years, and without any new word from the Lord for another 400 years between the Old and New Testaments. That helps remind me that waiting is a part of life, and God’s timing is perfect. Our church read through most of the prophets this year, and it was encouraging that whether the ruler was good or bad, God was at work. I trust and pray He is today as well.

    • Yes! God’s timing is not ours – trusting Him in every wait! What a timely bible study, Barbara! Thanks so much for coming by!

  3. Such a good word, MAryleigh. I’;; be thinking on this today >> “We must latch our soul eyes onto the Father who is yet fighting and not waiver in our trust and faith.” Amen!

    • If our eyes are on Him – All is Well! Thanks Joanne for stopping by. Keeping my eyes on Him this week along with you! ~ Maryleigh

    • Despair is such an apt word for how challenges can feel when we take our eyes off God! When my husband went through the heart-valve and lung cancer challenge a few years ago, keeping my eyes on God keep my soul at peace and trusting that God had the All is Well plan! Praying for you this week! ~ Maryleigh

  4. God’s timing is always perfect. Waiting is so very hard for us humans but God is always working in the background. The waiting in the meantime is where our faith, trust & hope in our heavenly Father are tested. Good word Maryleigh.
    Blessings,
    Jennifer

    • Tested and strengthened, Jennifer! Thanks for stopping by – Wednesday – I’m making tea and strawberry cake! I need a tea savoring moment! ~ Maryleigh

  5. It’s not easy to be content when we feel as if maybe, just maybe, God has made a mistake in the way he organizes our lives, our trials, or our universe. But prayer is always the best response!
