Little Foxes in a Holy Spirit Rain

Blue Cotton Memory

(The little foxes don’t stop tearing at us, do they! I wrote this in 2012 – and they haven’t stopped trying to ruin. It’s God’s Holy Spirit that makes the difference, why the vine of whom I am doesn’t break, doesn’t ruin. Challenges don’t go away, but faith, God and the Holy Spirit – they make the difference in how … Continue reading →

When I get flustered in upside down ways, or somet When I get flustered in upside down ways, or something hurts my heart, Keith tells me, “I’ve got you under my wing.” He told Henry that the other day, too! There’s something powerful about that kind of love - a love that values to protect and comfort.

“He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge. His truth is your shield and armor.” ~ Psalm 91:4, God’s Word Translation

“His massive arms are wrapped around you, protecting you.
You can run under his covering of majesty and hide.
His arms of faithfulness are a shield keeping you from harm.” ~ Psalm 91: 4, TPT translation

He scatters the frost like ashes.” ~ Psalm 147:15

It is satan who comes to steal, kill and destroy - God has created goodness in all things, even in the ice and snow, in the sweltering summer heat that suffocates, in every storm that damages! God is the innate goodness in all of them! It is up to the individual to vintage and redeem that goodness. That is the choice He gave us! Choose to find His goodness!

The Holly Tree was The Golden Corral for a flock The Holly Tree was The Golden Corral for a flock of neighbor Robins! A few days ago, when the power and propane were out, I bet we all wished we had feathers like them!

“It’s amazing, the way they survive winter is they fluff their feathers and get really big. Their internal temperature is 104° F and yet they can be in areas below freezing. That’s how well their feathers insulate them; there can even be a 100-degree difference just through those layers of feathers.” ~ Elizabeth Howard, Founder and Director of Journey North.

Note - while birds can apparently eat Holly Berries for energy surges, those same berries cause “gastric distress” for you and me! (Les Harrison is a UF/IFAS Wakulla County Extension Agent Emeritus)

I didn’t think it could get any better and then The Robins came, brunching in The Holly Tree. Never doubt God loves us beyond our expectations! Maybe we need to expect more for more to be revealed!
