Remembering God’s Goodness
Today, this week – I’m remembering blessing, answered prayers, and Holy Spirit. . .
. . . . celebrating my son and his future wife in a place where the holy spirit has fallen. When it’s fallen in a place, it lingers – and affects those who come upon that place again. I felt it there the day of the wedding shower, and it created such a sweetness and gentleness – and so many other things the moments needed.

. . . . friends using their gifts to create a celebration for a boys-only mom welcoming a daughter into the family! Using their gifts and their special, unique love languages, friends whose stories are woven into my story.

. . . . out-of-the-box ideas like corn hole and wedding cake decorating, engagement ring hunts – sitting long and talking much.

. . . . Prayers and recipes given, a Honey-Do Shower for All the Things that Need Doin’ – from the Kitchen to the Garage to the Garden.
This week, I’m remembering all the prayers for this son – the ones before he was born, the prayers, tears, and miracle from the day he was born, and the ones after. I’m remembering the prayers for his bride-to-be, too – the ones from before I knew her, the ones sent out before she learned to walk, to dance, before she was a Sugar Plum Fairy, before she said, “I do.”
I’m remembering God’s faithfulness, the answered prayers, the miracles, and the everyday ordinary. I am thankful that He authored Faith, Hope and Love, that He writes the love stories and the overcoming stories, that He loves selflessly and fully in ways I still cannot fathom but understand a tiny bit more each day.
What is goodness? It is God! Even when life doesn’t feel like goodness, doesn’t look like goodness – He brings the goodness in to it because He is good!
I’m going to rest in that this week – rest and thank Him!
“And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.” ~ Ephesians 5:2

Precious, precious…memories, remembrances, prayers, and all so beautiful, my friend. I am grateful to our God that He has given you gratitude in so much that is and was unseen and things that are seen. You are beautiful.

Loving this reflection, and feeling your joy as a fellow boy mum, gaining girls by love and by birth.
It all looks lovely. Saying a prayer for this marriage right now.
